If you are looking for a quiet walk in the park, you may want to check out the Garland Wetland Reserve Park in Fairborn Ohio. This small park has a trail that goes through the woods and passes through a wetland. There are newly constructed wooden boardwalks and bridges that are suitable for people in wheelchairs.

As a small nature reserve park, you can complete the trail loop in less than 30 minutes. It took me about an hour to complete it, as I stopped every so often to take pictures and enjoy the solitude that the parks brings. Besides, I was the only one when I visited it on a Sunday afternoon, thus, I had the park all to myself.

The plants found in the woods are distinct because of their ability to withstand both periods of flooding and extreme dryness.

Vernal pools that are present in the wetland provide the opportunity for a wide diversity of plants to grow.

The Garland Wetland Reserve Park i managed by the B-W Greenway Community Land Trust.
