The Charleston Waterfall located inside the Charleston Falls Preserve does not have much water especially during the summer season, but it is the tallest waterfall I have seen in Western Ohio. The 37-foot waterfall boasts an impressive gorge that makes it a favorite spot for pro and amateur photographers and special event photo shoots.

Visitors can go down to the viewing area and to the waterfall’s base through staircases and connecting walkways.

There is a quarter of a mile walk from the parking lot to the falls. And speaking of parking, there is adequate parking space for visitors.

For those who want to hike after viewing the waterfall, about 2.5 miles of easy to moderate trails circle around lush green tress in the park.

Where is the falls located?

Is the location kid-friendly?

It is kid-friendly. There are lots of spaces for kids to run around.

What is the best time to visit?

As I always suggest when it comes to smaller waterfalls, it is better to visit in the Spring or early Summer season when water is abundant.
