I say proven in the title because this is exactly what I drink everyday! And the drink gives me the energy I want, instantly. This is my easy recipe for homemade tea drink to strengthen and boost the immune system.

In this time of the COVID-19 where the virus attacks our immune system, we need to support it with immune-boosting food and drinks that we could easily make at home.

Here are the ingredients:

  1. Ginger (1 slice, crushed)
  2. Garlic (1 clove, crushed)
  3. Key limes (2 pcs) or use lime (1 pc)
  4. Turmeric powder (1 teaspoon)
  5. A pinch of cumin
  6. A pinch of cayenne pepper
  7. Your favorite tea (optional)
  8. Honey (1 tablespoon)

Steps:

  1. Boil 1 cup of water in a small pan
  2. Add the crushed ginger and garlic into the boiling water. Let it simmer for 2 minutes.
  3. Add the turmeric powder and let it simmer for a minute.
  4. Add a pinch of cumin and cayenne pepper into the mixture.
  5. Optional: Dunk your favorite tea bag. In my case, I use peppermint.
  6. Turn off the heat and let it settle for a minute.
  7. Transfer the mixture into your favorite mug!
  8. Add the key lime juice.
  9. Add the honey.
  10. Stir the mixture.
  11. Enjoy the drink while it is hot!

I drink this everyday, mostly during the afternoon.
