The Metropolitan Museum of Manila is one of the major museums in the Philippines. It is one of the few museums located near the U.S. Embassy in Manila.
What is the best time to visit the museum?
The museum hours is Monday to Saturday from 10 AM to 5:30 PM. Closed on Sundays and Holidays.
I visited it around 11 AM and there were only two visitors at that time.
How much is the entrance fee?
Adults – 100 Php
Adults and students (minimum of 50 persons) – 90 Php
Senior citizens and persons with disabilities – 80 Php
It is open to all for free every Tuesday!
Is it worth your time?
This is a small museum with limited exhibits. Most of its collection are from Filipino artists. You only need less than an hour to see everything inside.
If you have nothing to do and you are around the area, then visit this museum. Otherwise, I won’t recommend putting this in your travel itinerary as a main destination.
