Who would have thought that there is a beautiful Japanese garden hidden in the city of Albuquerque in New Mexico? I never did. The Sasebo Japanese garden is hidden inside the Albuquerque Bio Park.
When most people visit the Biopark, they go to the Albuquerque zoo. The zoo itself is big enough that you could spend half of your day touring inside. However, the biopark is part zoo and part botanic garden. The garden park takes a little driving or walking from the zoo. I have visited a number of botanical gardens around the U.S. and, so far, haven’t been impressed. But this botanic garden in Albuquerque is above all others. The Sasebo Janpanese garden inside it has made me love botanic gardens.
I visited at fall season when trees turned reddish and yellowish. Oh boy, how beautiful the garden turned out to be.
