Being lost was not bad after all. I was driving in Yellow Springs, Ohio looking for a local coffee shop when along the way I saw a sign that says “Visit the historic Grinnell Mill.” After just a short right turn, the Grinnell Mill Bed And Breakfast was immediately visible.
Built in 1813, it was originally called Moody’s or Moody’s Mill from the owners Andrew and Robert Moody. The original building was burned in 1818 and was reconstructed with the present building in 1821.
The name of the mill changed after Frank Grinnell bought it in 1864.
After its restoration in 2006, Grinnell Mill Bed & Breakfast now offers two rooms and one suite with queen beds and a fresh breakfast. The Mill is also available for retreats, meetings, conferences, parties, and more events.
Visit to the Grinnell Mill is free! Public hours are usually Saturday & Sunday 1:00– 5:00 pm unless otherwise posted at the Mill.
