I recently moved to Wilberforce Ohio for work at Central State University. Wilberforce is a small community with a population of about 2,300. Because of its size, there are not so many choices in terms of good restaurants and bars, not even a local coffee shop. So when I take coffee breaks, I have to drive to the next town to get my caffeine dose. The good thing is, it only takes 5 to 10 minutes to be in the next town. That isn’t bad at all.

So in my first few weeks after arriving in Wilberforce, I started visiting local coffee shops near Central State University. I visited each one at least once and then picked the one I like the best. Below, in my opinion, are the three best coffee shops near Central State University in Wilberforce Ohio.

3. Telemetry Coffee Roasters

Hours: 7AM–11PM (Monday to Thursday). It closes at midnight on Fridays and Saturdays and closes at 10PM on Sundays.

It has plenty of space to hang around, study, or chat with friends. It offers “soup of the day” and sandwich grills. Although the coffee latte I had was good, the customer service was below par. Unlike other coffee shops, the ladies at the bar didn’t even greet me or asked me how I was when I entered the door or ordered my coffee. Customer service is important for me, as this is what keeps me coming back to the shop.

2. Coffee Hub Xenia

Hours: 5:30AM–9PM (Monday to Thursday). On Saturdays, the shop closes at 5PM. It is not open on Sundays.

Coffee Hub has the tastiest coffee latte among the three shops in this list. The guy who served me the coffee was very friendly and welcoming. Although there were enough seats inside, it looked to me that the space was shared with another business. Also, parking could be a problem as the shop didn’t have a designated parking lot. Located in downtown Xenia, street parking can be hard to find on a busy day.

1. Beans-n-Cream

Hours: It is open from 6AM to 11PM (Wednesday to Friday). It closes early at 9PM on Mondays and Tuesdays and 3PM on Sundays.

I would rank Beans-n-Cream as the best coffee shop near Central State University. Aside from the friendly lady manning the orders, the shop has plenty of space for customers. It has a second floor that could be a good place for group meetings or for students to study. There was also a variety of food to choice from, if you want to check it out for lunch.
