What’s with the Las Cruces Veterans Memorial Park? Apart from paying respect to those who died in the war through the walls of remembrances, the Veterans Memorial Park is also a good place to spend a quiet time with family and friends.

When I visited the park one weekend, it was quite full. It was the Saturday when students graduated from New Mexico State University and families spent some fun time at the park. All picnic sheds were occupied and loud Mexican music was played. I saw others brought their own chairs and tables and set up a place at the paved walkway.

There was a big area right at the back of the sheds that serves as a playground.

What attracted me the most was the helicopter hovering above the Vietnam Memorial. That was eye-catching!
