The Chippewa Motel has been at 7880 Watson Road, St. Louis, MO on Historic route 66 since 1938. It began with 13 units advertised as tourists cottages. Each cottage, which came with running water and access to community bath areas, costs $150 per night. Over the years, the complex grew to 20 units. The units are still available as monthly rentals.

In the photo below, the No Vacancy sign fit inside the larger motel sign that remains in the property.
