Maybe I should not call it a restaurant. The La Pasadita is more of a food truck. However, the truck doesn’t move from place to place. It just stays parked in front of a convenience store, occupying what used to be a gas service station. I found La Pasadita while searching for Mexican food options in Green River Utah during a night of stopover. Green River is a small town and the options for restaurants or fast foods aren’t that many. Since La Pasadita was only a walking distance from my hotel, I gave it a try.

La Pasadita

I went there for dinner. Greeted with a friendly lady, I arrived around 6 PM with no other customer but me. There was a shaded outdoor seating — about 6 tables and some chairs. I asked for their specialty and was told that I should try “barbacoa.” I was hoping that since it was just a food truck, I will not be paying more than $10 for food. When I was charged for about $11 for a serving of “barbacoa,” I said to myself, “this must be good.” And indeed it was!

The serving was huge. The smell was good. The meat was juicy and tender that I wanted to order another plate!
La Pasadita

La Pasadita is one authentic Mexican dinner place! Who would have thought something like it could exist in a small and quite town?

Anyone traveling I-70 in Green River Utah, stop by this place anytime of the day (they serve breakfast too). Do not be deceived by how it looked outside. In fact, it has a nice ambiance with a big park right next to it.
