The Travelodge hotel/motel in Cortez, Colorado can be your cheapest hotel in the city. Located in the city center, it is surrounded by restaurants and fastfood outlets. It may not be the accomodation of 5-star quality, but you get the comfort for a night or two of stay. Clean and firm bed, courteous staff, and breakfast that was better than many cheap hotels.
TV was old, but it was okay for me as most TV channels were present — HBO included.
Hot and cold water worked perfectly.
Beds were firm, but the sheets looked dated. I checked the beds for signs of bedbugs and didn’t find any.
The prices of the rooms were afforbable, even at the peak of summer. A $65/night room rate was perfect for a road trip stopover stay in Cortez, Colorado.
