The Fort Collins Museum of Discovery in Fort Collins, Colorado is more designed for kids than for adults. With a great variety of things kids can do and learn from, this is a must-see family destination. For adults, however, you may want to skip this in your travel itinerary.
The hands-on kiddy exhibits and activities may keep you and your kids inside the museum for half a day.
The space is very limited, but you can still find exhibits like the “Animal Encounters.”
It has a section for beet farming and bicycles. Forth Collins is a haven for bicycle lovers as the city’s terrain is mostly flat. Also, the sugar beet industry put Forth Collins on the map, bringing people and prosperity to the region.
It has a replica of the 1920’s coin-operated gas pump.
Another artifact is this very special walnut organ. Circa: 1873.
As I have visited so many small-sized museums in other States, the Fort Collins Museum of Discovery pales in comparison. But as I’ve said in the beginning, if you have kids with you, you may want to stop by and check it out.
