Busy and crazy. That is how I described my experience when I visited New York’s Time Square on New Year’s eve. Ten hours (yes, 10 hours!) before the famous ball drop in Time Square, the street was already packed with visitors and spectators. One lady I meet said that she and her son traveled all the way from Australia just to spend the New Year at Time Square!

The huge crowd made it difficult to move around. Add the metal barriers that were placed in specific areas for security purposes, and the inconvenience became unspeakable.

How Time Square looked like.

If you cannot handle moving through a big crowd, don’t be at Time Square on New Year’s eve. You’ll end up very disappointed. However, if you find it fun to just stand and wait patiently for 10 hours with hundred others, then Time Square is for you.
