There is so much to see inside the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC, which in my opinion, rivals what I’ve seen in the Louvre Museum in France. I am an art lover, so I do not mind spending hours admiring impressionists and their use of color and light and gazing at the great pieces of art.
The museum is huge with collections of European and American arts. And because there is no entrance fee, you don’t feel compelled to see it all at once. Come back as often as you want.
One more thing, once you enter the building, get a map before you wander around. You don’t want to miss something you’re dying to see.
The photos you see below are just few of the hundreds of exhibits on display. Some galleries didn’t allow photography inside, so my shots were limited. Enjoy.
Impress me with some Vincent van Gogh.
Give me some Picasso.
Show me some Leonardo Da Vinci.

Tip 1: The food court is located in the lower level tunnel between the East and West wings of the National Gallery. You can enjoy a wide variety of food while, at the same time, enjoying the modern waterfall beside your table.
Tip 2: You can get a free audio listening device in exchange for your driver’s license. The booth is near the coat check.
