The National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C. is a beautiful walk through all the meanders of our memory. The Presidental Gallery and the American Origins Gallery are galleries not to be missed.
Housed in the old Patent Office building, the National Portrait Gallery is connected to another gallery, the Gallery of American Art. Although separated from the rest of the Smithsonian museums, this is one of the best museums in D.C.
