I wrote in detail about the road trip my friend and I experienced going to Moab, Utah. You can read the whole story here. However, I haven’t shown you yet the good stuff Moab has to offer. From rock-climbing, to hiking, to just admiring the gorgeous red rocks at the Arches National Park, Moab is a place for adventurers and nature lovers!
Are you ready to explore the Arches National Park?
Delicate Arch
The trail to get up to the Delicate Arch was about 1.5 miles from the parking area, with beautiful scenery along the way. It is gradual climb, but it’s all worth it once you get to the top. Note: Wear hiking boots or some good shoes as the rocks and sand pose some good obstacles.
Balanced Rock
A large balancing rock, the size of three school buses. Balanced Rock can be seen from the car/road, but it is easily accessible from the parking lot.
Landscape Arch
Thin and long arch with a span of 290 feet (88 m). This is the longest arch in the park.
Superior Arch of Double O Arch
The hike to this arch is pretty challenging.
View of the North Window and the scenic views they frame.
North and South Windows are quite a sight to behold.
Leafless trees abound.
Scenic drive to enjoy all of the major viewpoints and trailheads within the park.
Sand Dune Arch.
Take a turn to the Devil’s Garden. There is a secluded grotto of Navajo Arch.
Hike to the very top and enjoy every rock formation.
With a plethora of hiking trails, you’ll never run out of rock formations to see and enjoy.
